Got to bed late last night, which meant for early morning snuggles and a sleep in until 9am.
Oliver and Daddy went for a little pedal boat ride on the lake at our RV site. Oliver was very keen and enjoyed it despite the raindrops.
We packed up and hit the road around 11:15am and filled the tank in Clinton (132L) $$$
Stopped at 108 Mile Historic Site for a picnic of mac and cheese and a play. By 2pm we were back on the road to Quesnel for groceries.
It was between Williams Lake and Quesnel that we pulled over and took a few photos of our first Moose! He was down in a swamp area off the side of the highway. So big!! He kept dunking his head under water. Here we also saw a grosbeak fly out from behind our RV.
Rolled into Lowhee Campground in the evening (3km from Barkerville). Had a delicious steak dinner and another late bedtime. Unfortunately, the showers had been freshly painted and were not available for an evening shower. Kids had a mini bath in the RV instead and cozied up by the furnace in a blanket post bath!
